Libra Equinox – Time for balance The Sun moves into the sign of Libra today, marking the autumnal Equinox in the northern hemisphere, vernal Equinox down under. Libra, the scales, signals balance – in this case, between night and day, light and dark. The Equinox is a traditional time to intentionally prepare for the changing seasons. In the second full episode of The Natural Wisdom Podcast, I talked a bit about how to do this through eating seasonally, ‘catching the season’, and a few other tips. Another good way to prepare for the shift is through a simple, gentle digestive reset. I’m offering a short (four day) guided process beginning October 8th. Patrons get a 10% discount; just message me if you can’t find the post with the discount code. Getting more rest is another way to support yourself to re-balance the excesses of the previous season. In my part of the world, we’ve been over-heated and dried up by a hot, dry summer. My skin, hair and digestive tract are all emphasizing the point. These seasonal transitions are when we often take on an illness of some sort that forces us to slow down. With Monday’s sensitive Pisces Full Moon falling so close to today’s Equinox, I found myself staving off a cold on the sofa for a couple of days, with lots of hot drinks and very simple diet (kitchari and chicken soup). Wherever you are, I wish for you an easeful transition between the seasons!
