Free for patrons! Trick or Treat – Astrology of 2020

Most of us would agree we are living in  dangerous times in the year 2020. Yet it seems we cannot agree on much  else. Is there a pandemic or a conspiracy? What role do we want law  enforcement to play in our communities? Are masks effective? Are  vaccines a good idea? How should we address climate change (and for  some, is climate change even a concern)? Can science give us answers,  and if so, whose science do we trust?

These and other questions have divided our world and our country. There  seems to be little agreement on fundamental, underlying assumptions  about how the world works, not to mention what we value. We are at a  crossroads, a turning point, the end of an era and the beginning of a  new age, and 2020 is the crux of the shift. By the end of this year, we  will have seen five major planetary conjunctions, more than in the  previous five years and the next five years combined. In addition, three  of the slowest, and therefore most collectively significant planets are  together in the sign of Capricorn for the first time since the 1280s It has been quite a show in the night sky for months, such as when I  took this photo of Saturn (left) and Jupiter just before the rise of the  Aquarius Full Moon in early August.

There is more to this story, and I will share both the astrology and my  perspective on how we might find meaning in this time in my online class “Trick or Treat: An astrological perspective on 2020”, appropriately scheduled for Halloween, the day of one of the potentially most surprising Full Moons of the year. The class will be held via Zoom at 10:30 am Mountain on October 31st, and it is my gift to you in gratitude for your presence here.

I will post the link here the night before the class so you can join me. There will also be a recording, in case you can’t make it live.

I’d love to hear from you if you think you might attend!
