Last April Writing Studio – and an invitation for May! Yesterday marked the last of our April sessions of the Writing Studio. We’ll begin again with another four week series next Tuesday, exploring the myths and meanings of Saturn in our lives and writing. I would love to have you join me. The First Quarter, or Waxing Half Moon is this Thursday, with the Moon in fiery Leo squaring the Sun in earthy Taurus. The Leo Moon asks for joy, even if it means getting out of our comfort zone (Taurus). In this last look at Pluto, I drew from Caroline Casey’s book “Making the Gods Work for You”, in which she quotes George Bernard Shaw to give us some insight to the ultimate end of Pluto: “This is the true joy in life. The being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap. The being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.” Our first prompts were these: Describe your concept of joy and/or what gives you joy; Name some people who have/had great missions (large or small) on Earth. Our longer writing period began with these prompts: Tell a story of something you did that brought about transformation to someone/something/someplace; Begin with these sentences: “My mission was clear. I simply needed to take the next step.” For my patrons – you can sign up right here on Patreon if you would like to join us for May. As always, comments welcome!
