Changes afoot!

Dear patrons (and everyone else),

Something I am noticing in my life (and work) at the moment is a(nother) tendency toward rebelling against how things are “supposed to be” done. My repeated feeling of chafing under artificial rules and commonly accepted practices is showing up primarily in how I work with the online tools I use, such as Patreon. I am specifically annoyed, at the moment, at all forms of online marketing and ways of manipulating people into giving/buying more.

Perhaps my problem is generated, in part, by being inundated with offers for classes on how to make more, grow my list, get my ‘audience’ to do whatever. The truth is, I don’t ‘create content’. I write. I write because it’s what I do, not because I want people to feel a certain way or pay me or even sign up for a reading or class. I just like to write. It’s how I make sense of the world, how I integrate my experience, how I track my trajectory through this fascinating life.

I am also finding I am becoming allergic to hierarchies of all kinds. While I react most strongly to hierarchy in the spiritual world – I am not interested in “raising my vibration”, for instance – it is hierarchy of all kinds that wreaks so much havoc in today’s world. But that is a subject for another post.

What this is leading up to is that I intend to abolish the levels and ‘hierarchy’ of patrons in this community. I want to share what I write with all of you, AND with anyone else who wants to read it. Every post will be available to every patron, and most will also end up publicly available after some period of time.

Maybe some of you will decide to give less if you don’t receive some particular benefit from the amount you give. That’s OK. On the other hand, maybe some others will sign up for some small amount just because they like and appreciate what I create. After all, I believe that is why you are here in the first place.

I greatly appreciate the support I receive through Patreon today. It may not seem like much, but it is enough to pay a utility bill, or buy a bag full of groceries. As much as anything, I appreciate that you are reading what I write! It means a lot to any creator that someone sees/hears/reads her creation.

If you have questions, concerns, or feedback, I’d love to hear from you. You can click through from the e-mail to this page to leave a comment if you like.

Thank you, and much love to each and every one of you,

Kristine
